Hard Edge
A downloadable game for Windows
A basic behavior simulation for the Sexy Quad units.
Originally for the 'Strawberry Jam 9' jam.
This is a simple rhythm game with a scoring system. This project was to figure out overall game development and how to implement a lot of features. There may be a few bugs, but im not intending to return to the project to tweak or update.
This is my first game, let me know if there are any major issues.
Lore dump for anyone interested in what the Quads are...
The Quads roams in alleyways and around clubs, programmed to be driven by client satisfaction, they anticipate passing regulars to fulfill their purpose.
The original company doesn't repair old quads as its more cost effective to just produce a new line.
The quads develop to self maintain in fear of being too broken to be used and not feel the HARD EDGE again.
Controls
Mouse click and drag to move camera
Mouse scroll to zoom in and out

Known bugs
- audio adjusts only music

time for the most basic question that will be asked numerous times:
will it ever be on mobile or not?
Yay customer support!
Short answer, no.
Other answer:
This version was made on the Unreal engine (which is bad at running on anything less then a PC)
Since this was a test publish, i can't update this version of the game to a smaller platform.
However, I am currently learning godot which will be compatible for smaller applications such as web and mobile.
I want to create better games with the new stuff im learning.
What ways are you playing on mobile? apple, android, web?
usually i download the apk files since that means the app is more suited for my android, but if the engine allows i also use joiplay(not an advertisement) which sometimes makes things easier and sometimes fucks it to hell and back. web versions are quite versatile but ma phone doesn't really like em for one reason or another. don't know when I'll be able to get my hand(s) on your creation tho
also,some insane answer speeds,nice!
Unfortunately I can't do much right now as my hands are full with another project (and I haven't set up an android sdk before).
But i'll look into it with the next project and see if I can make that work. It will be published in about a month, but I can't guarantee an android build sooner or at all depending how it goes
👍
It says to click and hold for the prompt. no prompt ever came in the end she said she was sabotaged and died. Is there another button besides left click im supposed to hit?
I suppose the color changing floor wasn't explained well enough. In the Hold and Wait event, light blue means input has been received and you need to wait, the floor changing to yellow is the prompt and thats when you need to let go. You can also use 'Space' or 'E' on your keyboard to hit. Read the games description for more details.
Yeah all it said was to hold for the prompt but never explained what the prompt was so i was at a loss on what to do.
Free mode?
I only just realize what this meant (supposedly), the game doesn't have a lot to show for this feature.
Good game, what programing language did you use
I used the unreal engine block code called blueprints. It's a nice way of testing mechanics out quickly.
Cool! i do games on python ( like on the compiler, but GOD DAWN, 300 lines is crazy )
A lot of it are probably premade formats and features.
But I also don't mind not seeing all of that either.
Huh, to make python games is just like so much key words for some reason
is there anywhere i can support your work or buy your models? i love the design it's really cute :D
I'm glad you like it. I have created a new post where you can download the model. Let me know if there are any problems with it.
I haven't got a support page yet, still trying to figure things out.
well that was fast. Thanks!
